Reaction Time Based Cognitive Functions and Associated Recovery Heart Rate in Medical Student

چکیده
Introduction: Physical activity is an indicator of physical function that preserve or promotes cerebral blood flow which in turn associating with better functioning cognitive function. Cognitive functions can be assessed using reaction time. It the ability to quick motor response definite stimulus, while time elapses between sensory stimulation and activity.
Aims: To assess medical students visual & auditory times different fitness groups correlate values recovery heart rate.
Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 57 consenting healthy age 17-30 years, underwent 3-Minutes Step Test their along Auditory Visual Based on Recovery rate was calculated after 3-Minute step test. Students were categorized into four good, satisfactory, poor very T measured for these groups.
Results: Results showed statistically significant when all physically compared (p-0.014). When pairs differences found good level Vs (p0.008) difference satisfactory (p-0.028). Comparison many other non-significant.
Conclusion: Good has higher cognition achieved by doing improve level.

Aerobic Fitness, Heart Rate Recovery and Heart Rate Recovery Time in Indian School Children.
Data on aerobic fitness and heart rate recovery in children are limited. This study was done to evaluate the relation between them in Indian school going children. Three hundred children of 7 to 10.5 years were recruited and their aerobic fitness was predicted using modified Harvard's step test (VO₂max) and 20 meter shuttle test (VO₂peak). The heart rate was monitored for 12 minutes post modifi...
متن کاملReduced Heart Rate Recovery Is Associated with Poorer Cognitive Function in Older Adults with Cardiovascular Disease
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) in older adults has been associated with varying degrees of cognitive dysfunction. Several mechanisms may explain this association, including impaired cardiovascular reactivity to autonomic nervous system (ANS) signaling. Reduced heart rate recovery following a stress test may be considered an indication of impaired ANS function (i.e., reduced parasympathetic activi...
متن کاملHeart rate recovery after cognitive challenge is preserved with age.
OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of age on heart rate recovery (HRR) from cognitive challenge. BACKGROUND Aging is an independent risk factor for the development of cardiovascular disease. HRR from exercise is an established predictor of cardiac morbidity and mortality, and evidence suggests that HRR from cognitive challenge is predictive of cardiac morbidity as well. Aging is associated w...
متن کاملAn Examination of Post Exercise Heart Rate and Recovery Time
In this experiment we are examining the relation of variables including gender, smoking, fitness, and surface area to heart rate and recovery time following exercise. Our study was performed on Pennsylvanian college students with a mean age of 18.83 years old. We discovered that Males always had slower heart rates and quicker recovery times than females except after six minutes of exercise. Ath...
متن کاملHeart rate variability and heart rate recovery as prognostic factors
BACKGROUND AND AIM Heart rate (HR) can appear static and regular at rest, during exercise or recovery after exercise. However, HR is constantly adjusted due to factors such as breathing, blood pressure control, thermoregulation and the renin-angiotensin system, leading to a more dynamic response that can be quantified using HRV (heart rate variability). HRV is defined as the deviation in time b...
